Sutter Health and SCAN Group have announced a strategic partnership to introduce innovative Medicare Advantage (MA) products in Northern California by 2026. This collaboration aims to address the growing needs of Medicare-eligible adults by offering specialized MA plans focused on preventive care, chronic disease management, and integrated technology solutions.

The partnership reflects both organizations’ commitment to enhancing care delivery and ensuring long-term stability for MA members. Warner Thomas, CEO of Sutter Health, emphasized the importance of expanding high-quality, innovative care options, while SCAN Group CEO Dr. Sachin H. Jain highlighted the need to preserve nonprofit MA options amidst industry challenges.

This fall, select Northern California counties will see new SCAN MA offerings, granting access to Sutter’s award-winning healthcare network. Enrollees will benefit from Sutter’s integrated care approach, including telehealth, remote monitoring, and predictive analytics.

Additionally, Sutter and SCAN plan to establish a joint venture MA health plan, potentially expanding beyond Northern California to serve a broader Medicare population. This collaboration underscores their shared mission to support healthy aging and provide accessible, high-quality care for seniors.
